This is my
friend Dory.

Her true love |
We met at our church when our kids were in middle school. She has 4 children, 3 grandchildren, and a husband who travels a lot for his job. Whenever her husband would get back home, they would have Scott and I over for delicious food and several games of Dirty Marbles. (a variation of Aggravation) We bonded over team play where girls beat the boys. I found out the hard way that she is also a great Scrabble player. We don't get to see each other that often, but she remembers my birthday every year with the Estee Lauder gift with the purchase. It is such a thoughtful gift, and I haven't had to buy makeup in years.

Ed, Dory, and two of their four children Donna and Joshua. |
Besides being kind, Dory is a
faithful friend to me. The definition of
faithful is loyal, constant and steadfast. In a
friendship it is a huge blessing to have a
faithful friend. They don't think you hate them if you don't text them every five minutes, They stick up for you when others say mean things about you, and they are still your
friend if you forget their birthday. (All these things Dory has endured with and for me) They make you Pancit because they are Filipino and make the best food ever. They also help you whenever you have a fellowship group by bringing extra dessert and yummy rolls. (although Ed, her husband, makes the best desserts) Our kids also get along well, and whenever we get together our whole family has a ton of fun.

At my son Chad's graduation. Dory cooked lots of food for our guests. |
Faithful friends are refreshing and a lot less work. God has a real desire for us to be His
faithful friends. He wants us to be loyal, constant, and steadfast in our relationship with Him. Do you stick up for Him when others speak ill of His Son? Are you careful to be constant in your devotion to His word? If you find yourself wavering, think of my
faithful friend Dory, and Flood your life.

We love to go out to dinner. Our favorite is Olive Garden for some fried Calamari. |
ps. Dory is also
faithful to care for her aging mother who lives with them.
